The Walking Dead: Beside the Dying Fire

The survivors take a road trip!

Good evening, walkers and walkettes! The bad news: The Walking Dead‘s second season is over. The good news? The finale manages to tie up some loose ends, creates some palatable cliff hangers, and best of all, features buckets of gore. With that said, let’s jump right into it.

The finale starts up in (presumably) Atlanta. A helicopter (yes, you read that right) is seen overhead flying out of the city. The chopper isn’t just seen by the viewers at home. No, it’s seen by a giant pack of zombies who follow it out of the city. Stupid zombies: You can’t catch something that high in the sky! We flash to the field where Rick killed Shane, and then Carl killed Shane after he came back as a walker. Right when Rick is about to explain that he murdered Shane to young Carl, the mega-giant herd shows up and absolute chaos ensues. The Grimes boys take shelter in the barn, while the rest of the survivors back at the farm start to take up arms.

The Walking Dead: 18 Miles Out

Good: Beth becomes a character. Bad: She's mopey. Ugly: Otherwise pretty girls crying.

Hola, Walking Deadheads. Juicy episode this week that at first glance might answer more questions than it asks, but I’ll leave that for you to decide. We start pretty in the thick of it: Rick Grimes and Shane Walsh are in a factory-looking setting surrounded by walkers. The kid they rescued at the end of the last episode is tied up amidst the zombies (an unenviable situation, to say the least). He is crawling towards a knife, and boom… opening credits. It’s a bit jumbled, and at first I checked my DVR to make sure I had the right week. I’m sure I’m not alone in this.

The Walking Dead: Triggerfinger

"I can't smell my fingers!" (because I have no nose)

Welcome back, walkers and walkettes. Things on The Walking Dead continue to get real this week. We pick up close to where we left off: Lori Grimes is stuck in a car she flipped while carelessly driving. She comes to and does a decent job taking care of the two walkers pushing through the broken glass of the car to eat her face off.

Back at the bar where Rick Grimes SPLATTERED A PAIR OF PUNKS ALL OVER THE WALLS, the three good guys get confronted by the two dead dickheads’ friends. They heard the shots and are investigating. Rick, Glenn, and Herschel hide out, but Rick blows there cover and tries to make good with these strangers. No dice. They open up fire, and these three are in another potential shit storm. Read More

The Walking Dead: Nebraska

Where'd I'd be during the zombie apocalypse...

Walking Dead’s Season 2 picks up right where it left off a few weeks ago: Right in the middle of a barn massacre in a rural Southern zombie mess. In case you forgot, the end of the first half of Season 2 had a pretty big point to make: In the land of the living dead, it is completely possible for everyone to be both right, and at the same time, wrong. Hear me out.
