Farewell Elise! America didn't have a 'Whole Lotta Love'

After an amazing night of Queen and Idol picked personal favorites, the competition is certainly getting FIERCE! After their dramatic intro, Ryan announces that Katy Perry is here! Stefano Langone an Idol alum is here as well. But first “The Queen Extravaganza!” WOW an AMAZING way to kick off the show! Read More

Recap: American Idol goes Queen!

Ding Ding Ding... The votes are in, judges say Skylar Laine takes round 1!

I am really excited to see these Idols take on Queen. I think a lot of them have voices that are perfect for this week’s theme. For example, I think Elise Testone needs a theme like this desperately. I think Phillip Phillips can rock the house. They start off meeting with the current day Queen, Roger Taylor and Brian May… and then perform with them! That’s right, the group teams up with them for a hot Queen medley. Funny to see how some people might find this week more of a weak point for them as it doesn’t fit quite into their genre… i.e. Hollie Cavanagh, and maybe even Jessica Sanchez. Rad group number, now on with the show! Read More

Farewell Colton, it was a Bad Romance

Last night’s recap show was a reminder that now that we’ve whiddled this group down to the best of the best, we’ll have to say goodbye to our favorites every week! Last week we narrowly escaped the elimination of Jessica Sanchez, and now the Judges Save is out of play! Here’s a recap on how the results went down… Read More

P squared Up in that Midnight Hour

Joshua Ledet takes the first round... He's a Fantasia fan!

Tonight’s episode kicks off with coverage from last week when Jessica Sanchez was nearly eliminated. DRAMA! Now that the Judges Save is gone, they better be on point! Ryan opens the show with a tribute to Dick Clark who died today. He was a friend of Ryan’s, and would have wanted him to get ON WITH THE SHOW! Sidenote: weird that there’s no mentor tonight. Recap: The Celebrity Apprentice – “Puppet Up”

Tuesday, April 17 | Posted by ohmygodBecky in Celebrity Apprentice,Recaps

Despite the "piss and vinegar" in her, Clay and Lisa manage to Puppet Up!

This week’s episode starts with a reminder of last week’s elimination of Lou Ferrigno. After the board room Lisa comes back in and says “we did it!” about getting rid of Lou. Clay immediately says… “he’s still a person!” and Lisa wsn’t havin it. She yelled back at him that he should shut up and not start with her. Lisa hopes that Trump will rearrange the teams again to make the numbers fair. Aubrey hopes that Trump will ‘split up’ Arsenio and Clay. Lisa, as the winner of the last challenge was able to present a check to Matthew of the NephCure Foundation for kids with FSGS. LOVE this part, best part of the show. Anyone helping kids is good in my book. This week’s challenge starts in FAO Schwarz in NYC, who is celebrating it’s 150th Anniversary. Today the contestants are teaming up with Brian Henson to make a puppet and join in the “Stuffed and Unstrung” live improv puppet show. They are to build a puppet and then perform them with the cast members in the show. Read More

Recap: American Idol Top 7 Results

That ish cray.

Most of the performances last night were very good, although there were a few holes here and there. There are some people I could easily see go at this stage in the game. The group performances are amping up as there are less Idols for solos. Can’t wait until they are singing 2 songs each! They start out with their usual group number, which is just as cheesy as normal. This time they do “Raise Your Glass” by P!nk. We see a bunch of filler, like videos from hometowns, Colton gets asked to someone’s prom. HAH… leave some room for the Holy Spirit in there mmmkaaay. Elise Testone’s feathermaker sends some feathers for Steven Tyler’s hair! Awwww… perf! And finally, on with the results! Read More

Favorite of the night, "If you're not first, you're last!"

Another one bites the dust! This episode opens with the farewell shocker that was the elimination of Deandre Brackensick. Awww… his whole hometown was sad, but I have to say, he took it very well… and he’s going on tour! I did miss him when Tommy Hilfiger stopped into the mansion to style the Idols, and remind them to maintain their ‘image’ off the stage as well. Hmmmm…. grooming that Hollywood into them early. Phillip Phillips take note–he seemed hesitant on the uptake. This week is “songs from this decade” theme…way to keep it current, Idol. Tonight’s mentor is Akon and Skylar Laine kicks it off with a jam from an Idol alum… Read More

Recap: Celebrity Apprentice “Ad Hawk” Recap

Tuesday, April 10 | Posted by ohmygodBecky in Celebrity Apprentice,Recaps

Lou tells Lisa that if she were a man he'd throw her right through that wall.. that one, over there!

On the heels of the previous episode of Apprentice where Aubrey O’Day walked out (went missing for just a minute), and we saw the double-firing of both Dee Snider and Debbie Gibson, the biggest cliffhanger was Arsenio Hall gettin LOUD and CRAZY on Aubrey in the war room. Fueled by emotions of winning the challenge and money for his charity, the Magic Johnson foundation, he was supes angry at Aubrey for how selfish she was, and how she was even untruthful in the boardroom. He got real mad and threw around some words that were inappropro, even for dirty mouth Lisa Lampanelli. GIIIRLLLL don’t get between the man and his charity! At the beginning of this week’s episode though, we see them talking calmly and him apologizing for the words he had used. They make up, but off camera Aubrey says she’ll never like him, OR Clay Aiken, who backed Arsenio up in the board room. BOOM, fuel for the fire for this week’s episode. This week, the reps from Entertainment Books come in with a technology challenge to promote their new apps. The teams are to shoot a 60-second commercial to promote the next generation of the coupon giant and their mobile and tablet apps. Teresa Giudice promptly steps up to lead her team, because she hadn’t won the last time she was the leader. Also tired of being thrown under the bus, Dayana Mendoza doesn’t waste a second volunteering to take on the role for her team. And off they go! Read More

Recap: Idol Results… Bye Bye Brackensick!

Saturday, April 7 | Posted by ohmygodBecky in American Idol,Recaps

So sad! Couldn't even Blast his way back.

Tonight we see the elimination of one more Idol, turning this group into a top 7. We start the show with the judges in all their glory, and all the contestants out on the stage. Ryan fills time by airing J.Lo’s new video for “Dance Again” that awkwardly includes her baby boy toy. After the break we see their Ford music video, again, awkward as usual! Ford clearly pours a lot of bucks into these, only to be ignored every week. Right? You ignore them too, right? :) And finally we’re back for some results! Read More
