Recap: Pawn Stars: Huddle Up

Historian Mark

Mark, dressed in the standard historian uniform.

First up is New York-accented Maureen who brings in a bunch of old film footage of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She got the footage from the attic of a deceased relative (creepy). She hasn’t actually watched the footage, just sees that the film canisters are marked “F.D.R. 1882-1945” (his lifespan). They call in Mark, the appropriately dressed historian, to take a look. Turns out the film is a produced documentary of FDR’s life. Non-original. Maureen says she plans on donating the film since it’s such good quality.

Volcanic Arms gun

Beautiful gun, grotesque hand model.

Well hello there, pawn addicts. The first item to visit the shop in the episode titled “Bear-ly There” is a Volcanic Arms pistol brought in by a fellow named Jim. He’s hoping to go home with around $10K because he’s got two kids in college. My pa never sold his guns to help me get through college. I’ll have to show him this episode.

Recap: The Return of Khloe and Lamar!

Monday, February 20 | Posted by thehotpocket in Celebrity,Keeping Up with the Kardashians,Recaps

Oink...

Last night’s premier episode of Khloe and Lamar did not let me down. In fact, I actually laughed out loud for realz at least twice which is unheard of for a Kardashian TV show. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odum have now been married for 2 years and it actually seems like they have a relationship that rarely exists in the Hollywood realm.  This season will follow the couple through the NBA lockout, moving to Dallas, pregnancy struggles, and of course Kim’s divorce heard around the world. Last night’s episode was just a teaser of what is to come throughout the season, but sadly, I think I’m already hooked.

Imagine Khloe Kardashian’s fat ass strapped in to a leather sex swing that she herself fastened into the ceiling. She’s about as handy as Ryan Seacrest with a Fisher Price set of children’s tools, but last night in an attempt to ‘spice up her sex life’ she was determined to try something new and exciting. The unfortunate screw intended to secure the swing to the ceiling immediately popped out once she sat in it…right in front of Lamar. A genuine LOL moment, how humiliating would that be?! Oh honey…that was a bad, bad idea. Instead of Lamar’s hot dog, I’m sure Khloe was just fine with an all you can eat buffet of real food to remedy her embarrassment. Read More

Where'd I'd be during the zombie apocalypse...

Walking Dead’s Season 2 picks up right where it left off a few weeks ago: Right in the middle of a barn massacre in a rural Southern zombie mess. In case you forgot, the end of the first half of Season 2 had a pretty big point to make: In the land of the living dead, it is completely possible for everyone to be both right, and at the same time, wrong. Hear me out.

Recap: Modern Family: Aunt Mommy

Spoiler Alert: Phil gets hammered in this episode.

This week’s show starts with the Dunphy house immersed in pure and absolute chaos. Claire has to take a friend to the airport and Phill has to go meet Cam and Mitchell’s frenemy gay couple to show them a house. Right as the two parents are on their way out, Luke’s lice infested friend Leon comes over to, and I quote, try and reanimate a dead squirrel. Everyone always seems to rag on Luke for being stupid. But in this case, I can’t fault his idiocy as much as his ambition. Why reanimate a squirrel? All you get for succeeding is more vermin. Go big and reanimate a lost loved one or dog. But I digress…

14-year-old virgin Nick looks a little TOO much like his mom...

Welcome back, amateur pawnagraphers! First up this week is Kane who brings in some books signed by Edward VIII, once King of England. This segment is almost certainly only in the show because of the release of W./E., the new flick directed by Madonna. Kane wants to get $5,000, but will go as low as $2,000. Book expert and resident sexy librarian Rebecca comes in to help out. Rebecca sheds some light on the value, and they work out a deal for $2,000. Prediction of how he spends the money: Buying more chick-lit.

Motorcycle rufian and engine expert Danny helps with some minibikes.

First up this week is loveably chubby hipster Steve who owns official piece of mail from one of Charles Lindebergh’s first  Atlantic crossings. Wowzers. What’s this doing in Reno? Steve says he got it on the internet. Wants between $75 and $200. Store owner Rick says he doesn’t know much about mail or stamps. They heckle awkwardly for a bit and meet at $100. Prediction of what Steve does with the money:  Spends it all on rare Panda Bear records.

Recap: Hollyood Round- Part 3

Mostly International Team, thanks to... Hee Jun... nice one Richie.

As we recap where we left off from last week, we see plague and frustration setting in across the teams. Ryan announces that tonight we’ll see the best of the best…Group day kicks off. We see groups not coming together, as some new faces are shown that we haven’t seen yet. As the judges sit down, we start with “The Bettys”… one sentence to describe their previous evening “while I was barfing, they were…fighting…” Wow, this pitchy group seems… tired. Really they sound terrible, aaaaghh! Make it stop, this is just bad. We pan to the audience where people are making faces like they’re being tortured… because they are. The judges announce that only two of this group are going through. Really surprising because none of them sound like they deserve to go through at all….. as Cherie Tucker can’t keep her lunch in given the sad news. Read More
