Recap: American Idol Final 3 Recap – Jimmy’s Picks

Thursday, May 17 | Posted by ohmygodBecky in American Idol,Recaps

Not to overhype Phillip Phillips, but he stole the show tonight... or was it given to him? Either way he was amazing..ly awkward.

The last and final round for this top 3 closes out with each contestant shamelessly plugging AT&T by receiving their pick from Jimmy via text. Should be interesting as I can only imagine he doesn’t agree with some of the earlier picks from tonight. Less talk, more rock, on with the show! Read More

Recap: American Idol Final 3 Recap- Contestants’ Choice

Hey America, I'm your girl.

After the first round the judges do the annual ‘Hometown Visits’. Every year the final 3 have a video of them going back to their hometown and seeing how everyone is flipping out about their hometown hero being an Idol finalists. It gets especially cray in the midwest, but basically everyone is just nuts for their peeps. On top of this, they get this middle round to show off their own song choice. Read More

Ta ta Cavanagh....

Tonight one of the Top 4 will be eliminated, as we whittle away at this great cast for the winner of American Idol season 11. I have to say, after having gone on for a sometimes grueling 11 seasons, this year had an astoundingly strong team of talent. Tonight one more will bite the dust, who will it be?! Also, David Cook and Jennifer Lopez perform. Off it goes… Read More

Recap: American Idol Recap- Songs I Wish I Wrote

This face basically sums up Joshua's performance.

Up next is PART 2 of the Top 4 performances round with the 2nd theme of the night, “Songs I Wish I Wrote.” Innnnnteresting… I wonder who will wish what. I heard a rumor that Jessica Sanchez is going to sing former Idol Jennifer Hudson’s hit “And I’m Telling You”… and if she does I might just D-I-E!!! She definitely was the star of round 1 for me…with Phillip and Hollie kind of in the shadows. I honestly see that being how this competition continues to unfold. Joshua and Jessica seem like the Final 2 frontrunners, with Hollie and Phillip bringing up the rear at this point. On with the show! Read More

That chick cray.

Tonight we kick off the American Idol top 4 performances! It’s getting down to the wire and the talent is pretty hot. The first theme tonight is “Songs by California artists”….. represent! Here’s the judges, looking good. Jennifer has a very Janelle Monae bouffant going on with her hair. Randy has a very LOUD plaid blazer on with a big “YO” pin. Ha! Stylin! I don’t see Jimmy up in here though… not sure if he’s a part of this round! Read More

Unhappy Campers in the Bottom 2

The Top 5 performances were amazing and at this point its sad to have to keep knocking these class acts out. BUT..there can only be ONE IDOL. Coldplay is set to perform on this episode, as well as Carrie Underwood and the usual Idol group songs + Ford music video! PS… Where has Phillip Phillips been in these Ford music videos? He is never in them! Tonight kicks off with immediate results… Read More

Recap: American Idol Recap- Britpop!

Jessica Sanchez in a real "Fantasia" moment

Ding ding ding… it’s round 2! Now that the Idols are down to 5 and they each perform 2 songs. The first theme of the night was “Songs from the 60′s” and the second is Britpop! This feels like Hollie Cavanagh will be a shoe-in, but then again… they’re all so good! Read More

Recap: American Idol Recap – Songs from the 60s

J Ledet... THROWBACK STATUS!

As we count down to the end, the heat is turned up on the last 5 in the competition. I am surprised that Hollie is still here at this year’s talent, it makes for a tough ending when everyone is so good yet people have to go (Hollie.) The guest mentor for this performance round is Steven Van Zandt who was part of Bruce Springsteen’s band. Wow, keeping it current, Idol! I suppose it’s fitting for this “Songs of the 60′s” theme. No time wasted, here they go! Read More

Recap: Celebrity Apprentice “Jingle all the way Home”

Monday, April 30 | Posted by ohmygodBecky in Celebrity Apprentice,Recaps

This image basically sums up the team effort for Forte this week

This week we see the aftermath of last week’s elimination of Penn Jillette. Clay felt horrible that Penn was fired, but then again, was glad to have had such a strong force out of his way so to speak. Aubrey is able to give $60K to her Charity GLSEN. THAT is awesome, as usual, my favorite part of the show! But back to business! The teams join Trump and his cronies and get congratulated for getting this far. Today the task is for the teams to write and produce a 90-second jingle for GoodSam’s roadside assistance product. They will be judged on the jingle, brand messaging, and the performance of the group. Arsenio steps up for his team to be the Project Manager. Dayana feels it’s her time to step up and be involved so she’s the PM for her team this time. Read More

Recap: Celebrity Apprentice “Winning by a Nose”

Looks like Arsenio and Aubrey's working relationship has gotten better

This week’s episode starts off as usual, with a quick recap of last time, where we see Lisa Lampanelli win. She says she feels good about the win but going forward she’s going to just be nice. HA! Arsenio Hall was disappointed to see that Paul Sr. got fired. That pretty much leaves him with Theresa Giudice and Aubrey O’Day…. of whom he says “one is damn near genius, and one is damn near not.” Basically the team doesn’t feel strong. But on a great note, we see Lisa able to give her winnings to Gay Men’s Health Crisis which supports men living with AIDS. AMAZING! Read More
