#1 Keith fans in the house!
“The results are in… who might be out?!!” Seacrest keeps it dramatic as he announces the Top 8 results show. It’s a big evening, it’s the 450th episode of Idol!! Tonight One Republic is here, Colton Dixon is here, and Keith Urban is performing. Oh yeah and we’re kicking one of these kids off.
So, is it just me or does it seem like Colton Dixon and Angie Miller would be a perfect couple? I can’t help but think that every time I see her.
The group opens with a signature group number… Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock n’ Roll”… is this a Motown classic? Really confusing here. I have to say…I hate these cheesy group songs… it’s so elementary school pageant-y. Another note: WHO is styling these kids? Every single outfit up there tonight is awful… I mean awful. What is Lazaro wearing? I mean, really? Poor Amber… great voice, beautiful face, bangin body…. and they put her in a dress with a big tiger face on it. . . . People are getting paid for this?!! Really confusing. Candice is wearing an oversized green army jacket. Are they trying to throw the votes? It’s awful!! Read More

Double the victory??
Idol is back tonight for the results to last night’s awesome Top 9 performances. This group is so good it’s hard to imagine them paring down the talent. However, there were a few standouts last night that didn’t quite measure up to the bar of the likes of Candice Glover and Burnell Taylor. They are trailblazingly amazing and make last night’s performances from Lazaro Arbos and Paul Jolley seem like they just aren’t up to snuff. Lazaro and Paul both suffered from a lack of connection to both their songs and audience, and the judges took note and put them on blast. Unfortunately I do see these two as the weakest of the bunch and with the weeks winding down, we’ll sadly have to see someone get packin. Will it be one of these two tonight??? THIS is American Idol!

CMYKs up in the FINAL!
This is it!! The AGT peeps have put it all out there and America has narrowed it down to some really tough picks. Tonight is the final result episode before the big final on Wednesday, Sept. 12! Howie has already called this the “best semi-finals ever, in the history of America’s Got Talent!” Big words Howie. Last week’s results were tough…we saw Turf get denied, and instead Joe Castillo got to go through. This week’s performances were amazing and I know it’s going o be another tough elimination with only 3 acts going through!!! Tough breaks y’all! Read More

Sebastian winning the hearts of America... How can you NOT love this?!
Tonight is the second round of the Semi-Final performances! Another 12 acts are here to perform, and I have to say, it really is hard to choose. Everyone is upping the ante and putting it all out there at this point. Last week I was more than disappointed in the results. Some acts that were not my pick went through, but then again, it’s not the first time I’ve been shocked with America’s votes. Anyway, I’m thrilled about some of tonight’s acts, especially Sebastian “El Charro de Oro”, my favorite young mariachi singer. Let’s cut to the chase and check out the performances! Read More

Yeah that's how I felt too!
The first round of Semi-Final performances was seriously stellar. We got to see some amazing acts, and even I couldn’t narrow it down to 3 favorites. Dittleman, Turf, William Close, and Academy of Villains were among my favorites from the amazing performances we saw. It’s sad that so many great people will have to go home, and I hope that they grouped every round of the semi-finals accordingly! Last time it seemed like some nights were better (more competitive) than others. WELL America has voted so now we get to see who they loved! Also, Neon Trees is performing tonight… exciting that it’s not some lame pop act! Hoorah! Read More

Howie's favorite dance troupe, EVER in the history of AGT!
We have finally gotten to the Semi-Final rounds of America’s Got Talent! Yes, I realize that each round seems to take weeks to get through, but hey, what fun would it be if they just got to the point. Last week we saw some older acts get re-introduced to the competition via the Wild-Card round, a judges pick of people to bring back. How will they hold up having been cut once? Everyone knows that this is it, their make it or break it chance, because if they get booted now, that’s all folks. I’m expecting to see these contestants take their acts to the next level in their own unique ways as they start to show how they could become a million dollar Vegas performance piece. Let’s get to the recap! Read More

Yes, you can sleep tonight... Sebastian is going on to the semifinals!!
Well after the pretty spectacular Wild Card performance episode, America had a tough vote as to who’s redemption would bring them back to the semi final round. These people were all pretty great, and kind of made me wonder why Big Barry is snoozing safe in his hotel room waiting for the semi final round and these peeps had to risk their lives in many cases just for another shot. 4 acts will make it through…and Nick Cannon makes a good point: not ONE judge gave an X to anyone last night! The votes are in and time to find out who is getting a second chance and who has to relive the painful walk home again! Read More

Sharons pick: Bandbaz brothers are back!
Remember the hyped up performance by Cristin Sandu where he tried to balance on a tower of tubes…. and lasted barely a few seconds. “Good grief” I thought, “…why am I still watching this?” Well, he’s baaaaaackkk. I tell you, that AGT has a serious way of really allowing EVERYBODY and I mean errrrrrrrbody get really a few chances to be on the show. Kind of torturous, but tonight they bring back a whole slew of rejects, and you guessed it, they get another chance y’all! I was pretty happy with goodbye the first time for most of these folks, but I guess the judges just felt like hey, why not let them go one more time. I guess it’s cool for peeps like Andrew deLeon who really are pretty awesome and got edged out by some real crap acts like Big Barry. Golllyyyy, what a slap in the face! Tonight’s the Wild-Card round, where the judges got to pick their 4 favorite eliminated acts to return… let’s check out who’s back. Read More

Birdman Clint Cavalho is on his way to the semi-finals
Last night was an interesting mix of talent. There was a lot of disappointment, a lot of let downs, acts that were great in their YouTube videos, but didn’t pan out in the live on stage performances. There were indeed a couple of standouts, both because they were actually great talents, and because the others were so bad that the standouts seemed that much better. I think the show has been around awhile and this YouTube round has in the past been a big discovery of great hidden talent, but that’s not what it was last night. Tonight we receive the votes that America cast last night and an overall judgment of who’s going through, and who we can count our lucky stars that we won’t be seeing again.
