They May be in Love, But There's No Ring....YET!

I believe we can point the finger at Star magazine this time, as it was that gossip mag that first reported the news that Chris Brown and Rihanna were officially engaged. Over the last several days the rumor mill has been pumping out story after story about the ring he gave her, how he romantically proposed after the Grammy’s blah blah blah.

But, after all that speculation, the story has no truth behind it.

Because we all know that Chris is more likely to give her a black eye than an engagement ring….truthfully.

Star magazine claimed to be the first with the news that Brown got down on one knee after Rihanna’s show stopping performance at the 2013 Grammy awards.  And to push the rumor mill into high gear, Rihanna posted a photo of the on again off again couple to Instagram on February 21^st with the caption “Like #diamonds in the sky”. The magazine took this seemingly innocent post and ran with it.

And wah-lah, her text was twisted and the #diamonds she was referring to were those that were allegedly on her hand. But they weren’t.

So those who firmly believe that Rihanna is completely capable of doing better than Chris Brown and breathe a huge sigh of relief for now…. Let’s hope that the dark day we previously feared had come, will never actually happen. You should never mix plain with pleasure people.

It’s that simple.

Ri and Chris have a ‘turbulent’ relationship to say the least, considering their past and even the drama that continues to unfold in their daily lives, I couldn’t imagine spending my life that way. Chris can’t really plan to spend the rest of his life married to Rihanna with Karrueche Tran still behaving like a ‘piece’ on the side.

I’m not sure that Chris is cut out for matrimony. Especially considering that he’s a deadbeat boyfriend.

So, to answer the question, NO, Chris and Ri are not engaged. They simply jetted to Hawaii for a few days to celebrate her birthday…..birthday cake style.
