I have a feeling that 'Call Me Maybe' is going to be around for a looong, looong time.

Recall that first magical Thanksgiving where the pilgrims and Native Americans came together to share a table and their cultural backgrounds. There was so much to be thankful for, a great harvest, some sweet bonnets, delicious corn and so much more. But you know what was missing from that first get-together? Carly Rae Jepsen singing Call Me Maybe.

But this year, we can celebrate Turkey Day while listening to that tune and stuffing our faces to the point where it gets painful. At least if you turn on the Macy’s day parade because Jepsen is officially signed on as a performing act during the parade!

She joins a long list of other celebs who will keep those floats rockin’ including, The Wanted, Flo Rida, The Roots, Jimmy Fallon and Neon Trees. (Hmm, Flo Rida, another hot commodity that the pilgrims missed out on. Wonder what they would think of him….)

This season I am super pumped for Thanksgiving. Actually I can’t wait for Thanksgiving to come and go because that means we are in the home stretch to Christmas!!! Yaaaaay!! Can’t wait!

Even though you are left in remote limbo during the Thanksgiving parade because of those sweet doggies competing on the other channel, make sure you don’t miss Carly Rae on her float. It’s going to be fabulous!!!

It is pretty hysterical to think about what the pilgrims and Native Americans would say about our music moguls today. Imagine if Katy Perry sat down at their table in her spandex mini dress. Or, Chris Brown swaggered up to the table with his pants half down, tattoos and chains exposed and a stripper on his arm. Yeah, well that would be awkward.
